~ Guidelines for Fine Catering ~

 

Menu Selection and Guarantee

The number of guests attending must be confirmed with the Sales Associate

seven (7) days prior to the event. This number will be considered a guarantee, not subject to

reduction, and charges will be assessed accordingly. If no guarantee is received, the original

number expected will be used as the guaranteed number of guests.

 

Pricing and Service

We require a minimum order of $500.00.

 

All prices are subject to change, but will be guaranteed on all signed event contracts.

 

All prices are per person unless noted otherwise.

 

Prices are based on a 50 guest minimum. Events under 50 or over 500 should call for special pricing.

 

Menu prices do not include tax, service charge, delivery charge or labor.

 

All events are subject to an 15% service charge.

This charge is not gratuity and applies to food, beverage and labor.

 

All costs related to location, rental, catering fees and additional licensing are to be paid

by the patron. A minimum $40 delivery charge will apply for orders within our delivery zone.

Areas beyond our delivery zone are subject to a charge of $1.75 per mile per vehicle.

 

Some events may require additional catering equipment either by choice or necessity.

We will work with you to identify these situations.

 

There will be a charge for the number and type of staff required for each event.

 

“Drop Off” service may be available. A Special Events Midwest Catering Sales Associate will assist you with the recommended staff and service.

 

As a general rule, Special Events Midwest Catering estimates based on the following: A sit-down, served dinner requires one server per 20 guests, one chef per 125 guests and one kitchen assistant per 75 guests. A buffet dinner requires one server per 40 guests, one chef per 125 guests and one kitchen assistant per 75 guests. Extra chefs and kitchen assistants are required for performance food stations such as carving, pasta, etc. One Captain will be assigned to each event.

Deposits and Payment

In order to reserve your date, a 50% deposit and signed contract are required.

All events must be paid in full no later than 24 hours prior to the event, unless prior arrangements have been made. Special Events Midwest Catering accepts check, cash, certified or cashiers check, money orders, wire or electronic funds transfer.
